Battlefield 3 Soon on our PC?

PostDateIcon May 31st, 2010 | PostAuthorIcon Author: Skunk |
If this news is true, Battlefield is about to invade the E3!

According to BF3Nation.com, Battlefield 3 is about to arrive and to be announced during the E3′10. Millions of fans are waiting for that sequel. But no news about the game have reached our hears. A few months ago, CEO of DICE “semi/confirmed the game being in development by saying that “Battlefield 3 will blow everyone away.””

But the rumors say that during the E3 2010 Battlefield 3 could be announced. And BF3Nation.com arrives with another clue: a dude has found a box art cover for Battlefield 3. It was directly on Ea.com.

This screenshot does’nt talk that much. And it can be a trap from the website to advertise itself.

The website analyses the picture:

“Also embedded in the “3” is a single soldier who is sporting (from what it looks like) a M60 machine gun (correct me if I am wrong) The box also includes a “Game for Windows” logo which might suggest PC exclusivity (which was predicted, but fears of ports still haunt our souls)”

Wait and see!

FEAR 3 Preview – More Details on the Co-op Gameplay

PostDateIcon May 28th, 2010 | PostAuthorIcon Author: Skunk | Ps3Xbox 360
Know every details we have about FEAR 3.

This preview will, I hope, change a bit your mind after the previous trailer of FEAR 3. I mean, the previous trailer was a kind of terrible news for those who enjoyed the series: the shitty in-game footage mixed with a ridiculous real-movie action. More, the storylin isn’t more complicated than a super-genetically-modified-soldier fighting Alma the nasty ghost owith the help of his psychotic brother. However I must admit I feel much more enthusiastic by the gameplay than by the previous trailer and storyline seems a bit more complicated. Let’s forget it and start from the beginning.

F.E.A.R 3 lets you play Point Man, F.E.A.R 1 original hero wasn’t in F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin’s main character who was a totally new one (from the Delta Force soldier: Michael Becket). Alma, the main supernatural character, sexually trapped Becket to create a super-natural son such as Point Man and Paxton Fettel. Point Man is back to solve the situation, his angry-ghosted brother after / with him (Point Man killed him at the end of the 1st game).

Next Sledgehammer Call of Duty will be a First-Person Shooter

PostDateIcon May 28th, 2010 | PostAuthorIcon Author: Skunk |
CoD remains a FPS series.

We already know that another Call of Duty is set for 2011 and will be developed by Sledgehammer Games. This is an independent game, nothing to do with Treyarch’s Black Ops. We first thought it was a TPS, Third-Person Shooter, action-adventure-oriented which would have marked a rupture in the CoD series.

According to a next evidence the game will remain a First-Person Shooter genre: while recruiting for a new developer, a job listing revealed:

Sledgehammer Games is actively recruiting top industry talent to join the Call of Duty FPS development team.

Call of Duty will remain a FPS kind of game. Sledgehammer has to bring a new take in CoD series, Thomas Tippi, Activision COO told to LA Times:

“Today, we have three studios working on Call of Duty. We have Infinity Ward, which made Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Then we have Treyarch, which will be releasing a Call of Duty game in the fall of 2010. Treyarch also developed Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty 3.

And, most recently, we’ve added Sledgehammer in the Bay Area. We haven’t yet announced the content of their game, but it’s going to be an innovative take that will further broaden the audience for Call of Duty.”

SOCOM 4 Scoring Original Music by Bear McCreary

PostDateIcon May 28th, 2010 | PostAuthorIcon Author: Skunk | PCPs3Xbox 360
Battlestar Galactica composer will create 8 hours of original music for SOCOM 4.

Bear McCreary, a famous composer who scored the recent Battlestar Galactica TV series, has officially announced on his blog that he was preparing music for SOCOM 4.

This is not his first collaboration for a video game project, Mc Creary previously worked on Dark Void and 8-bit spin-off Dark Void Zero. For SOCOM 4, he said he was composing “muscially, a franchise re-boot,” about 8 hours of original score with “ethnic percussion, virtuosic Asian stringed and woodwind instruments, and the spectacular, other-worldly tones of the gamelan.”

McCreary commented that composing for a video game was a big challenge: “that a video game score that would feel as if it were being composed specifically for each player, adapting and shifting perfectly to capture the mood of the individual gamer.”
