During GDC 2010 Cliff Bleszinski was interviewed by IGN about the recent unveiling and of course about the new engine:

“Whether or not these features will be used in any upcoming products. Generally, it’s safe to say, that if we put a feature in our engine and we do it ourselves it will probably appear sometime in the near future. So, one could anticipate that.”

And here is when Cliff declared what we all wainting for:

“I think Gears has still got a lot of growth. I think Gears is a huge wonderful franchise that has been very successful for us. But I think we can always try harder.”

He concluded the interview saying: “be on the lookout for some things in the near future”

Mark Rein, Epic Games Vice President confirmed that there was no title planned for 2010. However, there will be a long time spent before 2011, so we can imagine there will be something for the early 2011. One the questions raised by Epic Games owning Gears of war franchise is what publisher will produce the new title and on which platform will be game released.
