Richard Ham from the Splash Damage team explained that the multiplayer experience of Brink will be based on a futuristic civil war which will oppose 8 players / 8 players.

You can play private parties. If you decide to, your friends can join the party as you are playing solo and they can join your force through missions.

Missions will be the same if you play online or with bot controlled by the AI.

In other words, collective strategies are vital and team spirit will be more important than individual performances.

Let’s talk a bit about the gameplay. Richard Ham also declared that players will be able to leap, slide and clamber over the environment. He also drew parallels with Assassin’s Creed gameplay and its will to make it more accessible to a broader FPS audience which focuses on the shooting and not on the moving around.
